What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They remember you across page loads so the platform can keep you signed in, remember your dark-mode preference, and protect against abuse.
SmartPact also uses similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) for the same purposes. Where we say "cookies" below, this includes those.

Third-party cookies
The only third-party cookie SmartPact may set is from our payment processor, and only on the checkout page during a transaction. It's used for fraud detection and is set/cleared by the processor — we do not control its lifecycle. Outside the checkout flow, no third-party cookies are set on smartpactai.com.
We do not use cookies from advertising networks, social platforms, or marketing tools.
How to control them
From SmartPact
You can change your cookie preferences any time from Settings → Privacy → Cookie preferences. Click the link at the bottom of any page to reopen the consent banner.
From your browser
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies via their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will log you out and stop the platform from working correctly.

Legal basis
Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, we rely on:

If we add or remove cookies, we update this page and refresh the consent banner so you can re-confirm your preferences. Material changes are notified at least 14 days in advance via email.
